February 25: Former Team-India skipper Sourav Ganguly had conferred Honorary
D.Litt. degree by Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur (BESUS)
for his immense excellence in the field of sports in a programme of 16th
Annual Convocation of the University. Mr. M.K.Narayanan, Chancellor of the
University and the Governor of state had presided over the Convocation.
BESUS also had conferred Honorary D.Sc.
degree to Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman, Dr. K.
Radhakrishnan and to the Director of Bangalore Indian Institute of Science,
Professor P. Balaram.

Narasimha addressed as the Chief Guest of the Convocation.
