ABID 'INTERIORS 2014' In Netaji Indoor Stadium

Kolkata, March 28: Association of Architects, Builders, Interior Decorators and Allied Business (ABID) had organized ‘INTERIORS 2014’; their 25th annual mega exhibition event at Netaji Indoor Stadium. The exhibition will continue till 2nd April. The event had been inaugurated by Minister of State, Madan Mitra with immense presence of tollywood diva Ria Sen and Nusrat Jahan.

As last 24 years, this time too ABID creates scope for 86 stalls. Apart from 3 sponsor stalls and 7 designer stalls all other stalls are product stalls. The exhibition had played a pivotal role in promoting and educating entire Eastern India for the development for the building industry as well as industry of interiors and exteriors. The ABID Management already announced that, next year the venue will be Milan Mela with lot more opportunity for the entrepreneurs.

100 Day Celebration Of "CHNADER PAHAD"

Kolkata, March 30: In the time when the filmmakers and distributors are talking about the decreasing number of moviegoers due to piracy then director Kamaleswar Mukherjee tastes something sweet. His ‘CHNADER PAHAD’ just crossed 100 days of screening in the INOX too. People now days are suffering from recession but the so called high ranges ticket of INOX’ can’t restrict people to board into single screens as well as multiplexes for ‘CHNADER PAHAD’. Many of the trade pundits have their logic behind it. Some are saying that the credit goes to Dev and his enormous followers while on the other side some people talking about the direction of Kamaleswar Mukherjee. Some people also have the point that the real hero is the novel “CHNADER PAHAD” itself, because for it the Bangalis’ have a nostalgic feeling. Anyway, now the fact is that, the costly most (15 Crore Approximately) film of the Bengali film Industry have covered the making cost already and established a unique benchmark for the upcoming movies of the future.









'BHARAATE - The Tenant' Music Launch In South City Starmark

Kolkata, March 30: Entire start cast of the team “Bharaate-The Tenant” came together for the music launch of the film. The music scored by Dolaan-Mainnakk. The lyrics penned by director Anindyo Ghosh himself. Lyrics are not only a fresh approach but also a quality to retain its melody in mind. The composition is much urbanised while singers Annwesha, Kinjal, Sukanya, Dolaan and Dibyendu sang all the four song very well. Especially, Ami Kotha Je Jai by Dibyendu is awesome. Sukanya, a very fresh talent and sang Amake Bol Na extremely well. Chhoto Chhoto Aabdare by Kinjal and Anwesha carries a feel-good melody. Dolaan, one of the composers also have a strong voice and expresses Chalo Dhori Ek Paloke in an extreme good manner. 








Amalin Datta Launches His Brand "AMALIN"

Kolkata, March 30: Amalin Datta, designer son of ace fashion maker Sharbari Datta; launches his fashion label “Amalin” for women. In a launching show; glamorous model Indrani Dasgupta, Satarupa Pyne, Ushoshi Sengepta, Sona Goldar and Pallavi Das showcased the brand “Amalin”. Diva Raima Sen was the showstopper. Amalin said that, “I like creating alternative forms of experience. A key element in this is design, another, of course, is fabric. I derive motivation from everything in life-music, art, texture, colour, architecture, nature. As I grew up in a very artistic family, I was imbued with a deep respect for every arts tradition in this world. My design is inspired by my love for the genius of artisans, weavers and potters the world over”. The launching night actually turned into a galore of stars. Indrani Halder, celebrated actor said about Amalin, “Sharbari Di and her family is just a family for me. I am attached with this family with a strong lace. My dress and my husband’s dress in my marriage also were from Sharbari Di. Amalin, is launching his range but I know that he is a beautiful designer like his mother. Actually, perfection is the keyword for the family. Kanak, Amalin’s wife is also a very good friend of mine. There is a saying nah, behind every successful man there is an woman; I think Kanak is that woman behind Amalin.”  Director duo Sudeshna Roy and Avijit Guha, Cactus Sidhu, Dancing sensation Alokananda Roy, Sambaran Banerjee, Alvito D-Cunha, designer Agnimitra Paul, Sukalyann Bhattacharya, designer Lopamudra Mandal Saha, Indroneel Mukherjee, Avishek Dutta, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee, Locket Chatterjee,  were also present to cheer up for Amalin.













'ONLY' In Kolkata Malls Now

Kolkata, March 30: European Women Fashion Brand ‘ONLY’ started their Eastern India journey with two stores at Quest Mall and Forum Mall in Kolkata respectively. ‘ONLY’ is now set to reach out to the fashion conscious Kolkata people. Screen Diva Raima Sen along with designer-cum-actor Neha Panda were present in the 800 square feet store of Quest Mall to join a styling session with some lucky customers. ‘ONLY’ launched in Kolkata with the support of Bestseller India; the company also sells the bestseller brands like ‘JACK & JONES’, ‘VERO MODA’ and ‘PIECES’. By wearing the ‘ONLY’ wear, Raima said, “The collection of ONLY-Spring Summer 2014 is awesome and reasonable. I really liked it very much and wish that people also will love the variety of range.” Apart from the dress material, the stores will also consists accessories and jewellery collectables.

“Archiving Voices and Expressions” at Gurusaday Museum

Kolkata, March 28: Environmental Art and Chander Haat organized an exhibition of art in Gurusaday Museum at Joka Bratachari Gram. Gurusaday Dutta, the founder of Bengal Bratachari Society also planned of this Bratachari Gram. In the museum, there is an archive of folk and contemporary arts. This time curator Probir Gupta projected an exhibition, “Archiving Voices and Expressions”. So many artists from folk segment to contemporary thinker invested their imagination to make the project a success. Apart of Probir Babu, the artists like Bhabatosh Sutar; Aloke Shome was also a part of it. Gita Karmakar, China Paul, Gurupada Sarkar, Mahamaya Sikdar, Kashmiran Tahir, ‘Potua’ Bapi Chitrakar, Tarun Dey along with foreigners Tarje Eikanger Gullaksen and Martijn de Rooj also have been contributed their artworks in the exhibition. “We are trying hard to empower of the folk and tribal artists of Bengal that’s why we are doing this and we also are experimenting to have a fusion of folk and contemporary arts”, said curator Probir Gupta.
